BPM supports school and community events across the city and beyond. This includes, events at Bristol Beacon and festivals and concerts across the city such as Harbour side and Sounds Inspiring.
Organisations wanting to stage a music education event at Bristol Beacon aimed at children and Young people between the ages of 5-18 can apply to BPM for financial support in the form of a discounted rate. The discount is dependent on the organisation having a collaborative relationship with BPM and meeting the criteria expressed in the application.
Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, UWE, National Children’s Orchestra of Great Britain, South Gloucestershire Music Hub, Bath & North East Somerset, Bristol Cathedral Choir School, Cabot Learning Federation, Music Education: North Somerset, St George’s, BBC Ten Pieces, BBC Music Day, Awards for Young Musicians, EFDSS, Music Mark.
On Wednesday 23 September 2020 Colston Hall changed its name to Bristol Beacon, and this means we’re changing too.
Bristol Plays Music is run by Bristol Music Trust, the charity that also runs the venue formerly known as Colston Hall. These two organisations will soon unite under one name: Bristol Beacon.
