Bristol Plays Music offers excellent room hire opportunities in numerous purpose-built spaces which we are able to hire out beyond our own activities.
These spaces are used by many different organisations for activities such as music exams, therapeutic arts, dance and teacher training.
BPM Southmead is located in North Bristol within easy access of Gloucester Road and the M4 and M5 motorways, situated very close to Southmead hospital. There is parking available on site for approximately 40 cars. We currently have a number of rooms available for hire, ranging from small meeting rooms to traditional classrooms. A pleasant, enclosed grassed courtyard is available as a breakout space.
The premises are particularly suitable for music and dance based activities. Three of the rooms contain high quality pianos, and there is a selection of musical instruments available and the Main Hall is 164 sq metres with a sprung floor suitable for dance.
A data projector, and a kitchen area with tea/coffee making facilities, are also available. The site is secure, with a staffed reception area where entrance to the building is monitored.
Room are available Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 5.30pm. Evening and weekend use is negotiable.
On Wednesday 23 September 2020 Colston Hall changed its name to Bristol Beacon, and this means we’re changing too.
Bristol Plays Music is run by Bristol Music Trust, the charity that also runs the venue formerly known as Colston Hall. These two organisations will soon unite under one name: Bristol Beacon.
